My first hog hunt was barely a month ago, and I am definately addicted! I did get
mine with bay dogs, catch dogs, and my weapon was a knife, illegal where most of
the hunters on this forum seem to be from, but here in Texas it is legal and huge
fun! Both times we went hunting we definately had to work for our trophy's( all of
them are trophy's to me ). My first time we had to run after the dogs through
boggy mud and then water up to our knees, I didn't think I would have the energy
to stick the thing once I got there, but I did, and it was amazing. Never have I had
so much fun! The next hunt we went on it was just my sisters and myself hunting.
We like to get in there too!! After Michelle got her 250lb boar, then Barbara went in
on hers a bit smaller, but great fun and exciting! My turn, and he was big, after
throwing off the dogs twice, and charging my guide(2 shots from him, but not
enough for this big boy) I had to get my big sis Barbara in there with me and we
went to sticking, her on the left and me on the right! It was great getting in there
with her while my other sister was on film duty. It seemed like everyone in the
hunting party was in on that one, even my nieces who were in the back of the truck
yelling about dogs chasing a big black thing! It was such a rush it will not be for-
gotten anytime too soon! And we definately had to get pictures to remember it all,
I'm still so proud of us girls I have to share them with everybody, hope this makes
you all want to come to Texas and hunt them in another fashion, if you ever get to
try it I hope you love it as much as I did! Cathy
