Hey Wildone,

Hope you got my message there before they deleted it.

We went with trailridge air out of Anchorage. We hunted for five days on the Stony river just east of Lime village. Saw a moose, but no caribou.It was supposed to be a 7 to 10 day hunt, but after spending 5 rainy days out there, on the 5 day check up we called it in.

On the way out we saw 3 huge bulls by whitefish lake up around the icy areas and 2 grizzly bears!

I would not hesitate to do it again, but we would go in sept. and float the Mulchatna!

We were talked out of it the last time.

All in all, a very expensive learning experience but not a negative one!! TTFN " TA TA FOR NOW" Cathy

I was supposed to meat a guy from Detroit out there , he was gonna hunt with me . I got about 5 miles short of where they were gonna put me down and the pilot told me that the other guy no showed at the airport. I woke up on day three of to 75mph wind and rain for 2 days straight. On day 6 i opened up the tipi to find a solid 12 foot brown bear 60 yards from the door for over 2 hours. I had a blast. I am trying to plan an unguided moose hunt for 05 but can't find anyone to go with me. However I will go solo if it means not going at all. I was not satisfied at all with my charter service and would not recomend them to anyone , not very personable at all made me feel like a peice of beef at cuttin time. A float trip for bou sounds interesting but from what I saw when I was there I don't know weather I would pick the Mulchatna river to float, but hey thats what makes the world go round. I am considering the Nowitna area for an 05 moose hunt , let me know if you hear of anyone interested.
