I went out looking for sheds today. I was hoping that most of the bucks had dropped already but after glassing the pasture for about an hour, I saw about 10 bucks including a couple of monsters all with both antlers still attached. I did find this small 4 point shed in some brush that was probably dropped last year.

I had my camera along so I took lots of pics of the deer even though they were a long way away. A few turned out.

The mulie second from the right is a decent sized buck but I couldn't get close enough for a good photo.

nice one! you did better than I did today, how much ground did you cover? I was out for 3 hours and nothing, I didn't even see any wildlife except for birds, despite there being about 10 billion deer and turkey tracks all over the place.

Nice pics. You will get some sheds. I tried to count the deer in that herd. There must be 40 or so deer there.

Congrats!! Good things come to those that wait. When they start dropping you'll have more sheds then you'll know what to do with.
It's only a matter of time..

Actually, unless you have absolutely no squirrels, I'd bet that is this years shed, not last years. I've never found one past April here that wasn't at least a little chewed on.

There are absolutley no squirrels in this area. A few mice and porcupines but nothing else. Only the part that was covered in leaves had any brown left on it, everything else was white. I guess its always possible but with the leaves lying on top and everything, I highly doubt that it is fresh.
