Hey All, This is my first post in this forum...Last weekend I got to go on my first Hog Hunt. I have to say I am hooked. I see where a lot of the you here hunt to have a chance to shoot a hog. The group I hunt with is a "Bringem Out Alive" type hunt. Last weekend while we chased the dogs all morning we could not get to them quick enough to get the hog and our hunt was cut short by a pouring rain. It ended with no hog and one cut up dog. We'll we hit the woods again yesterday morning and hunted all day. What started out a slow day in the bottoms ended a successful hunt in the Pine thickets. The hogs had moved since last weekend. It is really amazing to watch when they let loose the catch dog. If you have never seen it the best way I can describe it is like watching a bullet in slow motion before it hits a deer. My friends catch dog is part Pit and part bull dog. When he is released he never checkes up and hits that hog as hard as he can. Once he has that ear the hog is coming down and you will have to pry him loose. Pretty Impressive. Anyay Here are a few pics from yesterdays hunt.
