hey guys shane here. just a little update. we got into a few hogs on sat. just couldnt close the deal{probably because o'fer was with me}. we did happpen to run into what seems to be a hog den. we were hunting the area where i got that sow and jumped on a little game trail worked our way through poison oak tunnels and all of the sudden it opened up. just ahead was an old mercury mine that had so much pig s&*%t at the entrance you couldnt not step on it. so tonight i might just set up close by there and skewer me a tusker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cripes man I never thought Id have to resort to posting vicariously through my son on my account. I autta fire him. I told him he better be to work at 7:00 tommorow cuz he's gotta watch a concrete pour while I go to the doctor to have my head examined.
Shane just called me and he skewered another one tonight.
he forgot the camera and I don't feel like driving all the way over there just to take a picture so that's that. Word is its about a 150lb boar with 1-1/2" teeth. he's on his own with the skinning detail tonight. he's got my glasses my range finder my knives and processing gear.
he invited me to go but I had better things to do like bbq ribeyes and drink ice cold beerz with Shanes MOM!

Congrats on finding that honey hole you got there!!!! I would say its too bad you gotta crawl through poison oak tunnels and wade through sh*t waist deep
, but I bet is is so worth it to nail a great piggie. Give us the story and all the great fact on the hunt. Like many others here, I like to live out my hunting adventures through other people since I especially have neither the time nor money to do it myself.

hey sahne here. yo cecil i do have my own account but forgot the password and for some reason im having trouble retrieving it. but anyways heres the story, still waiting for my buddy to email the pics. well me and o'fer got up there abot 630. apparently pops had better things to do. so we headed up to the den we found the other day. we set up bout 10 or 15 yrds away. after bout a half hour i decided to see if i could hear or smell any hogs inside. damn does place smell like the dirtiest hog ever. i come out and tell o'fer to check it out . just as he steps out i hear somthin comin up to us.{ this trip was for o'fer to finally kill somethin so i didnt even bring my bow}.so as i raise my hand to tell matt to stop, he says its a hog right there 30 yrds away. so i tell him shoot that sumnabits. i cant draw back he's on me. at this point im behind a bush and that hog is locked on to matt. when he put his head down i tell matt here is your chance take it!!!!!! as soon as he draws back the hog takes off. i hear o'fers bow go off and needless to say he lived up to his name. so me being the good friend that i am i steped to the side ranged him @ 53 yrds and proceed to fill him with lead 1 shot and a tumblin he went. man its awsome to see a hog tryin so hard to get back on its feet. as he lay there squeelin matt creeps up with his new pig sticker to finish him off. just as he pins his head down the pig takes his final breath and expires. sorry matt mabey next time. but it looks like ive worked myself into a good situation up there. hopefully the pics will be up today. oh yeah gypso i welcome the piosin oak ill crawl through it any day to get a hog.
