I have been out over 20 times this year, and have searched all the spots that i have ever seen deer in the 5 years I have lived at my house. I checked the creek banks, log crossings, a really thick bedding area, corn fields, everywhere. I only found

3x turtle shells
4x deer bones
1x half skull (no antlers)
1x goat skull
1x ground hog skull
4x jaw bones

On my outings I saw

150+ birds
30+ deer
20x9 turkeys ( saw them 9 times)

Im sad to say I didn't find any antlers this year and my shed trap didn't do well either

this buck ran when he saw the flash

interesting shed trap you've got there, is this something you came up with??...I've never seen anything like that before, but I imagine that I'd work well

I thought I did, but later found one that someone made just like it on the internet.. I put the feeder there so I wouldn't have to put new corn in every night.

It's always kind of a bummer to not come across the bones you were looking for....keep at it and they will start showing up. I've had streaks where i walk for days without scoring any antlers and then i'll come over a knoll or drop into a creek bottom and score the mother load. Keep your head up bud, i think we all go through dry spells

It does get frustrating when the antlers don't show up,keep at it don't give up.Make sure you looking where the deer are late winter early spring not where you saw them last summer. And make sure you cover the entire area not just trails and obvious sign, walk slow, look small and Good Luck!!
That buck in the pic,was the other side busted off or did he shed that side?If he shed follow the trails out from your trap and try and figure out where he's coming from.If he shed, that other side can't be too far away if he's coming in regular to your shed trap.
