I took a shot shortly after 7am at a boar all by himself. He was running full speed along an open hillside. I was not in hunting mode yet, was still driving to the spot I wanted to be. The boar came out of nowhere running along the open hill towards the tree line. By the time I got the rifle out of the case and ready to shoot, he was about 150 yards out running full speed. I took the shot right before he went in the tree line. Then I saw him shadow through the trees over the next ridge. I drove around to try and cut him off the other side of the ridge, but he was long gone. I went back to followed his tracks down the trail a little bit and no sign of a hit.
Not 2 many people can find hogs like Sal & Eric. one day I wanna be like them.
From a safety point of view not a very good idea leaning a rifle against the truck even its unloaded but it s great to see young people out in the field enjoying out door sports
