the neighboring land is AWESOME for birds..but the landowner is less friendly to me shooting them..last time his land got mauraded by hogs..he welcomed me with open arms..

i'll keep a broadhead ready.

i talked to him again today. we think the hogs are noctornal..i'll probably set up a game camera opening morning for turkey..and take it from there. primary goal is a bird..

my brother flies out the following weekend for a five day hunt..we can check the cam then. long shot for sure. hogs are smart there.

I'm shaking! I'm sitting in a blind now calling for a turkey. Dozing a bit. I open my eyes and I see a wet sow ! 37 yards. I have a bunch of branches in my way. So I sneak out. I am stalking another sow and I look right. @20 yards a big boar growls at me and the entire group scurries into the forest. I cannot give chase. They are on another property.

So exciting. I am rattled useless.
