My Wifes Huge Valle Caldera Bull 7x7

Kim blew my bull out of the water.

This is the bull she shot with a muzzleloader on the 2nd day of her hunt. Kim and I had one scouting day and hunted hard the next 2 days seeing many bulls and found it hard to pass on a couple of them.

After passing on many other bulls she got this one about 2.5 miles from our vehicle. This bulls teeth were worn down to the gums and had battle scars all over him. He was by himself and may have lived thru the winter but, i doubt if he had a 2nd winter in him.

He was scored at 362 and was the largest bull taken on the Valle Caldera so far this year and from what i can tell one of the top 4 bulls taken from Valle Caldera since it became public land.

Be hard for us to ever beat this bull.

That's a Great Bull! The mass on the left side is impressive. Did he green score 362 or is that a guesstimate? You must have a couple of freezers with all that meat.

It will be nice to see the mounted head for that Elk. HOPEFULLY! One day, I'll get drawn for Valle Caldera.

There ought to be a photo section for just this kinda of photos. I don't know if I'd call it trophy shots. I see the photo an video, but it includes alot of other shots, besides successful hunts. Just a thought.

At the main gait of the VC they score it SCI, They keep a tooth for aging, brain stem, lymphnods, heart and Kidney.

They have a orientation meeting and ask for those items. We brought all them back and asked them to let us know how old he was. He was a warrior. Long scars all over his body, ears etc..

Though he was way back there i carried outthe head, boned him out and got some help to get him out on game carts.

What a monster, congratulations to you both. Are you in the process of looking for a bigger home to house these guys? Nice problem to have.
