N/T white tail or Joke ?

First keep in mind I am in Central New Jersey . We own a campground that has state land behind us . One of our seasonal kids were walking in the state land woods and found this shed . ( made me a little mad all the shed hunting I did and never seen it ) .

The main beam does look like a whitetail beam , however the rest looks more like a mule deer to me . ( we only have WT here in Jersey )

Maybe someone from another state had it and threw it out in the woods ?

What kind of deer do you guys think ?

Thats for sure a mule deer shed. Now if you could only found out how it got there.

Sure looks like a mulie. Any game farms around there that have mulies? A guy from MN that posts on another shed forum found a skull from what looked like a fallow deer. He figured it must have been one that escaped from a farm.

I thought it was a mule but never really seeing one I was not sure . Six Flags great adventure is about 20 miles away but really dont think a deer would have made his way to here . A few big roads and alot of housing inbetween us .

Only thing I can think of is someone threw it out there that was camping here .

Don yep thats a mulie shed for sure.Just a theory here but I keep my camper on a permanent site in a campground in chincoteague va. and riding through the park on my golf cart I see several antlers on fences and sheds and some are just laid out in the flower beds for decoration.perhaps that was the case there and someone took it from a site and it was thrown in the woods.just 1 idea but either way ya got a nice shed antler...
