Need advice

I was looking for a used Oly 730 but on another forum found a price of $424 for a new Olyumpus 750.....what do you think....I don't know a thing about these cams but I think Ohiobowhunter or someone just got one.

Seems I would have to pay almost that much for a 730....not sure of the shipping cost.

That C-750 price seems about $100 too low. Check the "Helpful Photo Links" thread pinned here at the top. Research the seller on a couple of the reseller rating sites. Lots of crooks out there. BTW the 750 is a great camera. WB

Good advice to check the seller out very well. Go to www.dpreview.com to see if you can find anything bad about them. Last year a lot of the OLY's that were sold cheap on the net were knockoffs.

If it turns out real, jump all over it.

I have been VERY happy with my Oly 750 thus far. I also purchased the Tcon 1.7 Teleconverter with the CLA-4 step up ring With this It gives a full 17 x Optical zoom. brings things in really nice. VERY happy with it.

With the Tcon lens I should add you pretty much have to use it full zoom. If not you will get a ring formation c because of the step up ring within the lens view until you take the 10x with Tcon out past say 14-15x then your ok. no big deal, But something I did not realize until I first tried it.

Camera takes some GREAT photos... I really wanted the EOS10D but could'nt justify it with my finances. and the clincher was the price I did get a really good deal on it. Final price was about what you are looking at as well. I found that price thru DP Review and several got in on it. I was fortunate to be 1 of the several.

Hope it works out for you. its a fine lil camera.

Thanks for all the help everyone....I just got a new oly 740 and love the pictures..will start a class in Sept. to help me along. Needed something to cheer me up, when checking my game cams someone took one of my cameras....Glad it was a 35mm and not one of my digitals.

I checked the ratings of the co. that had the great price and didn't need the stress at this time so just went to the nearest store and bought one.

Am on a tight leash...I mean budget, plus not sure if my computer would handle the 750, but am quite pleased with the 740.

Glad you like the new camera! I'm looking at the C-7xx cameras right now too and trying to make a decision on what to do. Get out there and get up some photos!

Thats the same reason that I bought the 740. LOL

I really like the 740 also, I think I'm going to step up and buy the teleconverter soon.
