I got your email gunner. Is this rifle or archery? Either way sounds like a good deal. I'll have to look at the deer hunts I have going on. Work is busy as can be so I'm planning stuff around that too. If you get a 4th go ahead and take em. I won't know till tommorow. Thanks for the heads up though. Have you sent an email to hunthard(rudy)? He might be up for it.

Looking at the website, are they claiming they shot a 500 lb pig on the property? That pig has very floppy ears!!!!

Lurediver,

I've hunted the property, and if there are any floppy-eared pigs they're every bit as wild as the pointy-eared ones most folks expect to see.

No farm pigs here.

Pigguide says the floppy eared pigs are on the Bakersfield property. The Lompoc pigs are wild, european strain.

I'll let PigGuide speak to the story of ol' Floppy Ears. However, being as wild hogs are mostly nothing but barnyards gone wild, I wouldn't take exception to one that looked more Hampshire than Russian. There's an awful lot of genetics getting passed around out there, and very little of it is actually from the Russian or European wild boar.

Now, if you had to throw a rock at him to get him off the trail, or pull the yellow tag off his ear before you shoot, I might have an issue. But after spending a weekend with Tom, I'm very comfortable taking his word that the big boy in the pic was wild as anything I've ever hunted. And believe me, when I saw the pics the first time, I was a little skeptical too.

LD, I got your email, however, I won't be able to reply directly from my personal account until tomorrow when I get back to my own computer.

Lurediver, like I said. I have already taken a beating over THAT pig..Yet, it's highly accepted that a prominant, well known guide shot one. It is in Hog Hunter Magazine. Tell me. Why is his so much more accepted than ours?

Is it his notoriety that makes it okay? No one has heard of me and my operation until now, so we're not above board? Where is the edge made okay on this sword?
Please. Explain, in a reasonable and acceptable form, why famous Guides, who take the same strain, floppy eared pig, with the same markings are readily and heartily accepted over the same taken by an up and comer!

Please. Go straight for the heart of the matter and let it out. There are 2 things I never do. I never lie and I never, ever forget.

We are all watching and waiting on this one. And, if you spent more than 250 days a year in the field, you, like myself, would come accross some very bizarre wildlife.

I am not angry. Just very curious to know the difference.

Thanks.

Sorry to inform you, but the pig hunts are all sold out.

If you know of someone who purchased a discount pig hunt, you can see about joining them. The max per group is set at 6.

Thank you very, very much in your interest in this offer. I truly appreciate it.

Jeph, what is up with you and pigs with clothing? All this talk of dresses and skirts has me wondering!
