it was quite a day with my 4 kids in tow,
its a wonder we saw a blackbird with all the racket going on, rich that is one nice hog bro!!
slaughter canyon has got it going on fo show

put this big walking porkchop down with the
.257 weatherby mag at 100yds,then i released the jackels on um {my 4 kids}what site to see,
it will never get old watching the kids fire it up on a animal that was just harvested,PRICELESS!!
we walked a couple of smaller hogs earlier in the afternoon in hopes of seeing a mature hog,
with this target painted on the side of it, its a wonder it lived to be a few 100pounds,as we approached
the downed hog one of my boys says"DADDY IT LOOKS LIKE ICE CREAM"and my daughter says
ya, like neopolitan ice cream,YUCK!! i hate neopolitan ice cream, this is a good hog to shoot daddy!!!

That is way cool. I love it when the kids get involved. You are helping our hunting future, keep it up. Fantastic pictures and story.

bearclaw, my princess is 9 and my 3 boys are 6, they are identical triplets,ive said
it before, california is going to have to reconsider tag alotment when they come of age

Nice hog! You can't beat getting the kids involved. I shoot a wheatherby 257 and I love it. Great job. Bet you can't waite until they can drag it to the truck.

yes sir,that is why we have children!!man i cant wait until i can have them fan out on
a ridge and work it to the bottom of the canyon where i will be waiting with the heater
or air conditioner on with a buck down that they pushed to the old man,then to say
head on over there and get that deer for me and dragg it down to the truck,field dress
it and put it in the back, and while your back there, get daddy a cold one out of the cooler ,im tired....

You will have to buy stock in GE before the four of them can hunt, or better yet make a ten hour drive to S TExas and ya'll help their hog problems down there.

I got two boys, 4 and 2, the oldest will be going scouting with me this summer here in A zone, we do some hikes together but usually just for exercise, we will see how far he can handle to start with.

But it will be nice when my kids are big eough and old enough to replace bird dogs, pack goats, and a four wheeler, until then I got to workout some more.
