HI all my buddy drew a bull tag for area 75 in northeastern nv anybody hunted that before any tips sugestions all would be appreciated
thanks little john
If you are not familiar with that area I suggest you go to the Nevada Fish and game website and order a map of the area. That area is mostly sagebrush dessert. Lots of pronghorns but not that many Elk. So you need the map so you can see where the higher elevations will be.There are only 16 tags given for that area. There a lot of ranches in this area so acess to hunting area is limited. The map should show you Forrest and BLM lands that are easally accessed. If you can I would suggest a scouting trip and check out the area with map in hand.Good Luck
JABGARDNV, your budy shouldn't have too many problems pulling a bull out of there if the weather works with him. Lot's of public land there. Last year I bumped a nice bull in that zone while muzzle loader hunting with my boy. My best suggestion is too contact NDOW like Roosterkiller suggested but request the number of the elk biologist that runs that zone. She is very pleasant to speak with and will help guide you in the right direction. Personnaly I would get off on 333 off 80 and head North of Deeth. The rest is up to him. Good Luck.:welcome sign:
