What is you guys and gals insite on useing a rem. 280 to hunt pig with I just picked up my first rifle for $275.00 its in really nice shape. Any help I would be thankful for.

Arrow slinger i talked to chopper and he said its no problum for you to come up. And i Can use all the help i can get and there will be enough food. I dont drink beer but I bet the other guys do so see you there.

nice caliber. if you don't reload, hard to find ammo from you local shop. even if you do find it, there is not much to select from. i have the remington 700 mountain in 280 and it is a real kicker on the shoulder (6lb light rifle). winchester failsafe ammo will be a good hog dropper... or any other will do.

FYI it usta be known as the 7mm Remington Express.

make sure you don't have one of the defective safeties.

This one tricked me for awhile before some research. Mine is an older model like Delloro said marked 7mm express calibered in 280 but has no markings indicating 280. Bought it at a pawn shop years ago. My wife shoots it and it took her pig down immediately. It will deffinetly do the job if you know where to shoot. Go get em.
