You probably only going to get half the meat of a hog with that gun.

I'll bite. So what was the purpose of making this rifle. Was it just to claim the "biggest" in the playground or was there some practical use???

It's not a rifle, it's a shoulder mounted cannon!

I'd love to see some footage of the round impacting some different targets to see what it would do. But I'll just watch. 277 ft/lbs or recoil...a 125 gr JHP .38 Special +p has 248 ft/lbs or muzzle energy! So that'd be like getting hit in the shoulder with a .38...no thanks...

A few years ago there was a picture of a guy who shot a hog using a Barrett .50. He tried looking all hard in the picture too like he was back off a tour of duty. Seems like a lot of investment for a gun you can't really shoot, and even if you did there's nothing left of the target.

So I agree with the comments on how crazy that shoulder mounted artillery piece is. What I don't understand is why a company spent probably tens of thousands of dollars or more putting these into production. The one in the video was the too light prototype (only 58lbs) while they said the later production ones were like 108 lbs. Does anyone have insight into what was the end game? Bragging rights? Some very specialized use? What? Anyone able to help me on my way toward total enlightenment?

When your own equipment has been insufficient your entire life, and you have tens of thousands of dollars to waste, and the plastic surgeon tells you they only make breasts and lips larger, you already have a truck that is impossible to park, A corvette you have never taken above 85 mph...should I go on, or do you get it?
