Hey guys been following the forum for a while and I am new to hunting in California!! I am going to be buying a deer tag for D19! I have been out scouting and was hopping you guys could point me in the right direction!! I have been up on rouse ridge and haven't seen anything!! It has been about 86 degrees when I go scouting!! This is to hot for the deer to be moving around correct? I know there has got to be deer at rouse ridge!!! Do deer actually walk through that really thick brush!! It is such a pain to get through. Well any pointers would be great!! And I hope this year we all return safely from our hunts this year!!!

yea there are deer on rouse ridge, get off the roadway and glass the draws. even though it is warm still, the deer will still be moving. go up higher towards little thomas mtn but not all the way into the tree line. use a topo map to find springs in the area.
