I took the plunge and bought a pair of Leica 8x32 BN Trinovid binocs on ebay. They are brand new with USA lifetime warranty and cost $764. The only catch is the rubber armor is bright red because they are demo models. I figure a couple of strategically placed pieces of camo tape and I'm good to go. I couldn't pass up that price. They are being fedexed today, so I'll have them tomorrow.

I got the Leicas today and all I can say is WOW. I focused on a jet taking off from LAX and could read the lettering on the tail. It was about 7,000 feet up. My low light test at 9:30 was stunning. Even though the objective is only 32mm, they still let in a ton of light. More than enough for hunting at first and last light. If you ever get the opportunity to get top quality glass, TAKE IT! You will not be sorry.

Getting by the wife was easy. We're going to the LA jewelry district next week.

They should get the job done there! I'm looking forward to getting my first Javelina in Jan.
