I am looking to book a hunt in New Mexico next year for 3. One of these is my 62 year old father who does not get around all that great anymore. We tried hunting colorado a couple of years ago and the amount of up and down walking at 9000 feet and up killed his knees and wind. I would really like to go on a good hunt in which he would have a good chance at a bull. I have a lot of years left(hopefully to try), not sure how many more years he will be able to do it, marginal with his knees now. We are looking for a muzzleloader or rifle hunt - 1500 to 2500 price range. It would need to be an area in which he could hunt parks/ waterholes etc without a ton of walking(most travel by horseback etc). I don't know a lot about NM hunting as we always looked in Colorado in the past. Any advice on outfitters /guides or just hunting units to try would be appreciated.
