Just got back from my first archery elk hunt. In a word, it was phenomenal. The bulls were going nuts the entire week. Both my buddy and I got good bulls with a bow. Mine was a 6 x 7 that scored 337 5/8 gross. Truly, the trip of a lifetime. I shot mine a 55 yards which is farther than I wanted to shoot but it happened so fast I didn't have time to get nervous.

Attached is a picture.

Congrats! Great bull! Sounds like a perfect trip. 2 for 2. You guys must be good. What unit, public, private, over the counter? Just curious. More pics?

I wonder why i cant see the pic? Nice job. Which part of the state where you in? I am from the Land of Enchantment and spent many winters guiding the various ranches and units. There is no doubt about it, if you only had one elk hunt left in your life i would go hunt Arizona or New Mexico. Big Bulls!
