My name is chuck, i have been hunting birds for a long time but always wanted to shoot a pig! Went to camp roberts this last memorial weekend but did not even see any.
I've been looking for somebody to pig hunt with for the last 10 years or so but have not been to successful, then I saw the jho web sight on line last week and talked to jesse on the phone and he lead me in the direction of this site, so if anyone is interested in a little advise or even possibly a partner on a hunt some time please let me know!

You would probably be better off to hunt with a guide during your first few trips?

Guided hunts are the way to get started. As I stated in a previous post, as a beginner you can learn more in a weekend with a guide than you could learn in a year on your own. Plus being new to this type of game it would increase your odds of success ten fold!

That being said there are many great guides that advertise on this site. You can look in the hog and javelina previous posts and see all the different success stories from the guides that call JHO home.

Chuck:

I have to agree with Cold1 and Mapmaker...a guided hunt is a great way to get started. A buddy and I recently hunted with RnJ in Coalinga and besides having a great time, we learned a ton about pig hunting. Give them a call and go get yourself a pig.

Do a search on the forum, he's burned many would-be hunters and is known to setup clients up on private land illegally.
