77 welcome to JHO, that pigs looks like it will be good on the BBQ.
Hopefully you can make it out here and join us for a JHO pig hunt sometime. I wouldn;t mind going out to your neak of the woods and get me an Elk or buck.
Again welcome.
If you archery hunt, you have to check out bigtuskers place, awesome.
Congratulations in a very memorable, and successful hunt. That pig will provide you alot of good eating. I've been charged by a 200 lb. boar, and that was scary enough so that big SOB charging musta been quite an adrenaline rush. 45/70 in a handgun? That must kick like a mule. Reloading under pressure must be a rush too. What loads were you using? Good luck on your next hunt.
Thanks Uncle Ji for the congrats. I was shooting a T/C contender with a 14in. barrel and a muzzle brake, not to bad of a kick, more of a kick in the pants. I was shooting Winchester supreme 300 gr. partition gold, next time I think I will go with a cast bullet, as it took 3 rounds and a .308 to stop that hog.
