They are canadian Moose. I hunt in NH and VT. This year was a tough year to find fresh sheds. We had almost no snow in december and January when most of the bulls shed. With no snow in the early months the moose stayed spread out and didnt heard up at all. The sheds seemed to be few and far between. Also without snow they didnt go up high and shed in their normal areas. Moose Love the 5-10 year old clearcuts with a softwood patch nearby, so you just have to be thourough when you are looking. Even though they are big sometimes there in places so thick and they blend in so well you almost have to step on one to find it.
