NM Draw results

My group was unsuccessful for a NM Bull draw as well. To make things worse is that my uncle kept asking me to put in with him and his partner, but I told him "no, thanks. I'll stick with my cousins/ hunting buddies". Well he got drawn and we didn't. His computer illiterate butt was having trouble filling out the online app so I did it for him. Wouldn't you know it would be that way. He's has got drawn every year, for the past 10 years. That's no BS!!! Except for one year when he got a landowner authorization. He swears NMDGF knows his name and puts him through. Maybe he's right....Now I'll be stuck at home hunting D zone. Maybe an OTC bull tag in CO, but I've never been there.

Zip, zilch, nada... again. This is all pointing towards a Ca sheep tag. Or an Az sheep tag. Or a Ks whitetail tag... Ed F

At least you are not out $150+ like when you apply for Nevada, AZ, ID, ORE, etc.

Almost embarrased to say it but four of us got drawn for elk and deer in Unit 52, second archery hunt. We're focused on elk but though it would be handy to have the deer tag just in case.

Anybody have experience in Unit 52?

Yeah, I've got some info on 52. It's no super unit, has relatively few mature bulls and the genetic potential does not hold a candle to places like the Gila but there's a fair number of elk--not that many deer. Send me an email and I'll give you some info.

No Oryx, No Ibex, No Elk drawn this year. Went ahead and bought a Unit 15 landowner tag this morning. By the way, I woke up and logged into NMGF's site at 5:00 CST this moring with no problem!
