I read in today's LA times that a lot of ranchers are stopping access to the cattle fields (ranches) to guests (guided hunters ?) as a way to head off the transmission of hoof & mouth. It sounds more like it's affecting the milking operations as the article said that some areas remain open because the animals are less densely concentrated. The article specified ranches in the Coalinga and Chino areas. Has anyone got any better info than the liberal "Times"? I'm going to go play in the snow with my kids for a few days. Have fun everyone!
