I have left numerous voicemails, and sent numerous emails to Jodi Bonas at Tejon regarding guided pig hunts, and seasonal access passes and have gotten no response. Are they just not booking new hunts at present, or is there something else?

I see post from you guys about your recent hunts, so there has been recent activity. Did I miss a deadline?

I've just gotten my license and I'd love to get my first hunt in. Sooo much to learn, just trying to do things right and legal. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks
Kevin

Contacting Jodi has always been hit or miss. She gets a lot of calls and emails so sometimes it takes a while to get a response depending on the time of year.

I would say just keep trying, once you get a call back she will be very helpful for all your questions. I've found email to be the best way with her, so just keep sending them so they don't get buried in her inbox.

Congrats on getting your license, Tejon will be a great place to get experience if you decide to go. Having the spring membership in the past was very important in helping me teach myself the basics.

Bottom line is she is busy . Between members hunting requests, phone calls, walk in, current guest checking in etc. Best approach is be specific when you want to hunt and how many people. Memberships range from 7000k a year on south side to 6500 a year north side. Closed for the months of august and February. Fall pass includes upland game bobcats with additional cost.

There are many different hunt packages on the ranch. It all just depends on how much you can afford. Just keep E mailing her and calling you will get a hold of her. It took me a while when I had some questions for her. Too maybe the ranch is booked out. I waited for about two years before I was able to get a hunt package I wanted on the ranch. Good Luck.

Thank you gentlemen very much for the information. I guess I'll have to apply this lesson for my whole hunting endeavor- patience is a virtue. Maybe I'm just a little anxious since I just got my license!(thanks Socalkid). Another lesson learned, that $7k membership is waaaay to rich for my blood!!!

Thanks again men!!

This is no way to run a business IMO. If they are understaffed and unable to provide adequate customer care they are failing miserably and certainly they are charging enough to justify hiring staff to address consumer needs. That's common sense.

They really don't care about hunting or hunters. The money they make is for sure over priced but it's chump change when you look at the other bright ideas they have. The new townhouse village or community is going to be worth millions. Oh and there is that little outlet mall they are almost done with. That for sure has made them more money than anything to date.

So sad they say they are going to save the Cali country way of life but the truth is the will sell us all out when it comes to making money for there company.

Ww have lots of farmers out of water and not able to grow the good we need to live. So where is all the water going to come from, for the new homes they want to build?? Maybe they can just make water with all the money they have.

Ktk I dont believe you are a hunter. What do you know what they care about. I can say with a fact when I need something from jodi I get helped. She cares that my needs are met when she can accommodate them. You have a comment just about everything yet nothing to really share.... You're a non hunter on a hunting forum with more post than guys who have been on here for years. You mock good people who have offered to take you out to tejon for a fraction of what it would cost you. Sell you all out how? You have no stake in tejon. You wont notice a difference in your "virtual hunting life" . Good day.

Not that I need to defend my self to you but I'm a country boy and from kern county. I want to see as much wild land as posable stay wild. What I was talking about is the big sign we can al read that says " preserving California's legacy providing for California's future." My point is it would be nice to save wild land. Not build houses and outlet malls.

I never said Jodi was not a good lady. As a matter of fact she is a friend of my family.

As far as mocking anyone. I never did. You should not believe a the crap you are told. That bs is all in the past and never was my fault. I tried to be nice about it. It was a mix up or something. It all was over me wondering why some one would reach out to a member here and than never respond to there replays. But as I said it is in the past and I never bad mouthed anyone. It was the opposite as I recall. No need to drag that old stuff up.

Thank you for your comments. Sorry I have so many post. I didn't know I was not allowed to talk about any and everything on the forum. I thought that's what it's for. I share when I have things to share. Just because I don't have hunts to brag about is of little interest to me. Keep watching. I will post some pics just for you and your buddy soon. Public hogs are real and I will be taken another member from here to get them. Good things come to those that wait. Good day to u also sir.

Agreed,

Nothing is wrong with KTK asking questions or commenting, he obviously likes to look at wildlife and is in dire need of a friend.

But his comments on Tejon were way off base for anyone with any ounce of experience with them. I am not rich by any stretch of the imagination, I can't afford Tejon but I have been and will be a member for as long as they allow me.

The comment of "They really don't care about hunting or hunters" how the F*#K would you know?

Tell my kids and my niece and nephew that...

Again not that I need to defend my self to anyone but here we go. Try to follow along if you can.

My point is that they have a sign and or motto " Preserving California's legacy Providing for California's future"

I never said all the tejon people are bad. The funny part is what I am saying is I want to see them keep more land wild. If you slow your roll you would understand that means I want more land open for y'all to hunt.

Sorry my words were a little harsh. Some of them care but the bottom line is they are a biz and the goal is making money how ever they can. I hope they don't build to many homes and little city's up there. It won't leave much land to hunt. You may have to take younger generations to drive the houses and or to shop the outlet mall as you tell story's of the good old days.

As far as what the f do I know. I am a local raised country boy and know a lot about life here in kern. I don't just come visit to hunt. My dad is a Purple Heart USMC ch-46 pilot. He served our great country for 37.5 years and we have lived here for over 40 years. I assure you I have plenty of friends. Not that I need to prove that to any one. If you want to meet some, you are welcome to join me at church any Sunday that you would like. Thank you for your comment although miss placed. Good luck to you in all you do.

I think we understood your point, but it is clear you know nothing about Tejon compared to those of us who have spent a lot of time on the ranch and personally know Jodi and other owner/managers of Tejon.

There's nothing wrong with having a lot of posts and trying to learn. You just seem like a non hunter based on your post history and you don't have the right attitude when it comes to being open to advice or suggestions. I'm not sure what being raised in kern has to do with anything either. And the ranch is a business, obviously they are trying to make money and they do so successfully and we are privileged to be able to hunt the property.

Good luck on your future hog hunt, we are all looking forward to the pictures and story.

I too have tried contacting Tejon in the past about hunting and memberships and had a hard time getting much info. I cannot claim to know a ton about the ranch because I could never get anywhere in the first place!

I agree with KTK in that it is sad that a ton of homes are being developed on such great land, although it is their land to develop or not (Yes I know that a hug chunk is being set aside permanently and that is good). It is also sad that POR's are over (as far as I know, again can't seem to get much official info). Not surprising that high cost options are what are left given proximity to LA.

Back to public land :pig-laughing:

Thanks brother. I hope that they will stop the building at some point. The big outlet mall is almost done and next will be the city idea they have. Maybe that will be it for a while. Good luck on your public hunts. I am working on sum around here also. There is more than one way to get tejon hogs. As soon as my gun is fixed the fun will begin.
Be safe out there and have fun.

What's up with this...is it let's talk down on Mr.KtKt week or something?...the most info on any game I have hunted a lot of the time came from nonhunters....just because a person doesn't hunt or hasnt hunted yet don't mean they don't know the area or the animals that live around there...

I understood KTKT's point...let's just respect each other and move on....this kinda jabbing each other might make new lurkers on this sight think we are a bunch of bullies or something...making this sight look bad...so please move on

It's ok wolfman. I don't lose sleep over what other guys think or say. As with all things in life, it's easy to judge others and come to conclusions when you don't know everything. I could spend all say telling guys what I have done in the past or what plans I have. But it's not worth my time and energy. Thank you for the support. Most of the time this site is real cool and helpful to everyone I would think. I have seen some guys put each other down or nic pic stuff but that's to be expected with internet groups.

Good luck to everyone and I hope Tejon always keeps as much land wild as it can. Be safe out there and always have fun.
Thanks
KT

Everybody,
I feel bad, and responsible for this friction. I am the greenest person here and the last thing I want to do is cause any type of trouble on this fourm. I mean no disrespect or negativity towards Tejon. All I have heard here is good. I passed by while returning from San Jose a month or so ago my son, and was shocked to learn it was so close to LA. I noticed the website was 'under construction' and then recieved no response, so I came here to inquire. Hopefully I have not caused any irreparable rifts between anyone. All of you seem like very stand-up men, and I'd hate to bring any animosity between anyone. Lets get back to supporting each others adventures, and I'll do what I do best at this point - LISTEN... :smiley_green_with_e

Best regards gentlemen
Kevin
