No response from Tejon to book a hunt???

They really don't care about hunting or hunters. The money they make is for sure over priced but it's chump change when you look at the other bright ideas they have. The new townhouse village or community is going to be worth millions. Oh and there is that little outlet mall they are almost done with. That for sure has made them more money than anything to date.

So sad they say they are going to save the Cali country way of life but the truth is the will sell us all out when it comes to making money for there company.

Ww have lots of farmers out of water and not able to grow the good we need to live. So where is all the water going to come from, for the new homes they want to build?? Maybe they can just make water with all the money they have.

This is truth. The VP of Ranch Operations (Brian Grant for those of you that are clueless) has said it straight out that they could care less if you are happy/satisfied with the way they run the hunts and if you are or are not successful. Its pennies to them, and that if you decide not to hunt there (Tejon) that they could care less.......someone else will be waiting right behind you. The pig hunts are more of a PITA to them than anything. That is not verbatim, but its the gist of his (Grant's) point.

Be careful with what you say. The guys that don't like what I said will be telling you that you are wrong and how much you don't know what you are talking about. Not everyone likes the truth when the think they already know it.

No worries, I say it how it is and if whomever doesn't like it, thats their problem and I could care less. I've been around Tejon lots over the past 15-16 years, killed countless hogs there with my bow and have seen the changes. It's not a good deal anymore. I'm just glad to have hunted the heck out of the place so many times and had some great experiences there when it was one of the greatest places to be chasing hogs in Ca. Not so much anymore. These days the management/operations stink. Now its just an "ok" hunt IMO. Hardly worth the $500 for the hunt.

Having been a member of Tejon over the years (not currently) here is my experience:

1. Jodi is nice and has a full plate (other employees over the years have been nice and responsive as well)
2. It's an amazing ranch
3. Hunting is probably not in their top five important issues and staffing reflects that reality
4. The long term future is probably bleak for hunters
5. Prices are high for the average middle class family depending on the priority you place on hunting.

Guys- Tejon is a for profit corporation.
As an capitalist, I 100% support the corporations effort to maximize shareholder return. Shareholder returns must always be their number 1-5 priority! Hunting is a relatively small (albeit important) line of business. The hunting likely supports a few jobs at the ranch and helps with property improvement/maintenance... costs.
As a hunter, I am all for open space and all for Tejon continuing to offer access to the paying public- so long as it fits with their business model/needs.
I guess the point is that this is private land. It is the land owners business what is and is not done with the land and I 100% support their right to have hunting or close it to all hunting based on their needs, goals and desires.

I think the verdict is in. Tejons legacy is not for hunters and hunting. Good luck to those trying to book a hunt. Don't loose hope there are other places with pigs. Theres always public land where I feel it's most rewarding anyways.

Back to the guy that wants a place to hunt. Try Bitterwater Outfitters. Not much farther up I5. Clayton runs a good operation and I know he has deer and hogs. I have never hunted Tejon but I hear it is nice. Good luck to all

U have never posted a single pig kill on this site yet u think u have something to offer us all???
