Finally got out to hunt for myself. Shot this guy at 20 yards layin g down, the Tightpoint broadhead penetrated from the top down between the shoulders..20" of the arrow stayed inside and tore him up. He made it just over 100 yards before expiring.

I need to get out and get one with the bow, as soon as this holiday madness settles down.

Great job Parrey!! So tell us the story![/b]

After taking lots of other folks out finally got some time to get out for my self and try to get some footage with the Roscoby riser cam I have been trying out.

First off I called in a coyote. Got some good footage, but the darn thing came to 60 yards or so and did not like having an arrow pointed at him. He bailed with no shot.

Left that set up and headed down the ridge where I thought I could find a hog. Went about a 1/4 mile sneaking down the ridge checking the fresh hog sign. It was about 11:00 by now. Coming down the top of the ridge I spotted this guy sleeping in the brush just off the ridge. When I first spotted him I ranged him at 26 yards. Thought I would get a bit closer and a better angle. I made it a few steps and his ears perked up. I am thinking he is ready to get up. The brush was pretty thick so if he stood up I am pretty sure his vitals would be covered. He was laying feet down hill with his back to me. I ranged him at 20 pulled back and put the pin right between his shoulders and let fly. The tracer knock lit up like a Christmas tree and I watched the arrow hit the mark and penetrate about 20 inches. I watched the tracer glowing as he headed through the brush. I knew he was in trouble.

As soon a he squelled and turned there were pigs running everywhere, and close.

I let him go for about 10 minutes before I went to look for blood. The arrow went from the top down and after about 25 yards the top 10" broke off. The rest was inside the chest cavity. I had to follow pig tracks for 25 yards or so before blood started coming out the top. He went just over 100 yards before piling up.
When I opened him to take the guts out the remaining arrow was sitting right inside the chest cavity. Man the Tight Piont just tore his insides up.

Then the work started put him on my back and carried him about 3/4 of a mile to the bottom then hiked back to the top got my truck and drove to the bottom and picked him up.

This was on some private ground I have.
