" From what I was told the guy said that in about 25 years of offering these hunts he has only had 2 people leave without killing a pig"

Burrows is $575/person for 2 and $550/person for 3. 1 1/2 day hunt. 2 nights lodging included. He only hunts it every other week.

The 2 people in 25 years not getting a hog is hard to believe. In all fairness, there were sows that I could have shot if Bill would have allowed it but we couldn't verify they were dry so I was told to hold back. We did have a couple vehicles stuck in the mud on the last morning that hurt our morning hunt but overall it was a great hunt. You can shoot squirrels during mid day and even wet a line in their pond if you want. The food was damn good also.

Yes meals and lodging is included in the price. better yet, you stay in your own little house next to Bill's house, so you have your own space which is cool.

How are ya bud? Havent been on JHO for some time now. I don't think I'll make the Tejon hunt this year. I got a few other hunts planned. Dave (Superduty) just moved up to Nevada not to long ago, so I'll be heading in his direction as well. Hope all is well and I'll be checking the board to see how you guys do at Tejon. I do miss the Tejon and sitting back and

Ok guys.........so, what is a reasonable fee and someones recommendation for a private property location to hunt ( say 60% chance of getting a pig)..........say from paso robles up the state to Red Bluff or so..........it has been a long time since I hunted........I'll give you a hint as how long..........the trespass fee at that time was $50.00 but I'm getting so bored I have to get out.......I am retired.

If your willing to spend some money, "R-Wild Horse Ranch" is about 30-40 miles west of Red Bluff and they have some excellant hog, turkey and deer hunting. You can find members selling their shares for as low as $3,000, and thats lifetime. It's a pretty cool setup if you are close enough to use it[/b]

Plus a $700 a year assesment fee.

Does anyone else have any feedback on this ranch????????
[/b][/quote]

I am an owner, employee & resident of the ranch. The ranch is 14,080 acres. 6,000 acres are designated for hunting (wildpig,Deer,Bear,Turkey,Quail,Ground and Tree Squirel and Cougar) There are two large creeks that run thru the ranch, both have Trout and an occasional Salmon. Theres, also a stocked pond with Trout,Catfish,Crappie and Bass. The ranch also has 150 cabins that the owners can use free of charge. Or you can stay in one of the 150+ full hookup RV sites. Theres also a Recreation center, snack bar that sports a swimming pool and an adults only upper lodge that also has a swimming pool. The upper lodge also has a 20 room motel where you can stay for $20 a nite. We also have 100+ head of horses that as an owner can ride free of charge. 2000 acres is designated for ATV/Motorcycle use only and another 4000 acres that is used only for Horseback riding. We also have a shooting range with covered shooting benches. Contrary to what some say, we have abundant population of wild hog.But you will have to put in some work to be successful. One owner recently killed a 300lb boar with 2 3/4 teeth. we also have a very large population of Deer. A couple of months ago I observed 4 bucks together 1 4x5, 2 4x4's , and by far the best forked horn I have ever seen. There also was a 500lb Bear killed within the last year on a neighboring ranch and we have in the past have had to run off bear that have come into the campground. The cost to become an owner is $5000 plus an annual fee of $700 for up keep of the ranch buildings and also pays the wages of the ranch employees. and as stated above in previous a reply you can find owner ships dirt cheap on the internet but good luck as they are snatched up quickly. hope I have answered some of your questions if you have any other questions you can ask them here or you can go to the ranch website. Off hand I don't know the domain name but you can find it using a search engine.

RichDunn,

How many cougars are members allowed to shoot? Is that included within the cost of membership or is it extra?
