I'm meeting Bubba over in unit 52. It's not a trophy unit but there are a few P&Y bulls running around.

Did you draw a cow tag for this year in NM?

...I'm heading out in an hour or two after lunch MDT.

Nah, the guys I hunt with hunt in unit 6C. After last season and seeing very few animals we spoke to the wardens. They told us flat out they are trying to remove the elk from 6C and the Bandolier NM. They want them in 6A and The Baca. If it snows heavy during the season you are right on the migration route down so it's great but without snow it's not good. They issue too many tags and have too many seaons, on purpose in that zone. This year I opted for Idaho (rifle) instead. Good luck on a P&Y critter

Good luck Bill. Looking forward to hear how it went.

Are you staying in Antonito CO? Unit 52 is a great Antelope hunt (muzzleloader only). You may see some big goats out there.
