They aren't the biggest pigs but they are in the freezer and in the end that's all that matters!!
I had been seeing sign around the ranch but just seemed to be a couple of days behind these guys. I found a fresh wallow and some rooting one afternoon and after losing there trail down into a steep mess I decided to come back the next day. I ended up not being able to hunt again for a couple days and during that time we got some heavy rains so as soon as the rain stopped I was there!
Parked the quad and figured I'd slither on down to the wallow. About 50 yards from the quad were a bunch of fresh tracks and rooting. Not five minuets into this hunt I see what at first looked like a burned log then all of a sudden the log looks up the hill at me! BOOM! The hog disappears in the brush and all I hear is what sounds likes a bunch of hogs runnin' around, I high tail it back down the hill to the next opening to see what I can see. About 10 seconds pass and I hear something coming up towards me I see the brush moving and out steps hog #2. The little fella takes one in the ear and before you know it I've two hogs down and it only 7:30 am. :smiley_yahoo: They both only went about 85lbs but I didn't care those guys are good eats! I got one crappy pic with my phone I'll try to post
