Ok here it is. Oh yea, this is his first animal with a bow.
elknev027.jpg

Had him rough/green scored. 370. Mains are both 55". Points range from 16"-19", and he's 6"-8" around. Pretty massive bull. Ill never put in for a riffle elk hunt after this one, and Im counting down the years to get this tag.

That is noe nice bull there. I have been putting in for that zone for quite a few years now. I have a friend who guides in those zones so when I get drawn if ever I have a freebie guide. That is some amazing country there. Congrats on the fine animal.

Great job on a hard hunt. Way to hang in there and get it done.:) I had three big bulls buegling (sp?) their heads off Friday while scouting. It's pretty exciting.

A true trophy, and a well deserved pay-off for hard work.

Congrats to both of you. Wish my father was around to hunt with.

Thanks for the all the compliments, ill pass them along. Its nice to share it with people who realise the kind of accomplishment it it to get a bull like this with a bow. I get tired of telling people about it and they ask "is that good?"

Even though it wasnt my bull it was every bit as rewarding. I almost felt as if I released the arrow. It was his tag but he realy made it feel like it was our hunt and he couldnt have done it alone.
He let me drive the rack back through Nevada and I got plenty of fist pumping and thumbs up from other drivers and everytown we stoped in it drew a crowd. Best part was my Ca. plates :wavin hello:
I got a few more pictures Ill put up tonight.

It's nice knowing you can still drive through some states without having to hide your trophy like your ashamed so the "People" don't hate you. Not trying to start a debate but you two deserved to show off your accomplishment. Once again congrats.:patiotic-wavin-flag
