wtg Jerry . So get 1 o2 pig on WU ranchs. Then you're done for the year unless you go to public. land.

No limit on Pigs with WU. Those are old rules. Pig population has risen so much over that last few years there is no longer a limit for WU. Just 1 per reservation and they encourage that you didn't kill them all on one single property, but be diversified. I like that rule. Makes you hunt all over the place.

Jerry, is this new "no limit" just good for 2012 or will it apply until they decide it needs to go back? I understood it was only for this year?

Noone knows for sure if it will stay that way, but I don't see why it would change. Once the population begins to grow I think it is awfully hard to reduce the numbers by hunting. We can make them hide more durring the day but I think these critters have allready proven they know who to adapt and succeed.

Hi Jerry,i read your story and i decided to head out to Maddux ranch to give it a try.
Got on the ranch on fri afternoon (4-13-12),set up camp, had dinner, got ready for the morning hunt.
Sat morning i hunted the s/w side of the ranch, see some tracks, herd of elks but no pigs.
Saturday afternoon head out on e s/e of the property and about 6pm i passed on a pig (to small around 100lbs).
On Sunday morning head out again, and i basically followed your footsteps ,lol, and got on the last ridge before the boudary on the s/w side of the property and glass the hills behind me and the west side. I was there for about 30 minutes when i saw a pig making his way from the west side to the east side up towards the brush. It was 7:15. I shot him once behind the left ear and droped him on the spot (used a 300 wsm), in the little meadow, probably around the same spot where you shot yours.
It turned out to be a nice weekend that i enjoy there with my wife and a successful hunt.
