You remember his trip "bear" hunting in N. Cal w/ AS a few months ago right
<
There is a strange camp picture floating around out there?

I am just bummed my elk season is over, now all I have to look forward to is baby sitting LD on pig hunts for the rest of the year

One thing is for sure, San Francisco needs more elk hunters--go get em BDB!

Not much time to type just a quick update. 3 days done. Of 5 tags (3 elk 2 deer) we have 3 filled now. A decent 5*5 bull at 10am opening morning by one of my buddies had us hauling meat for 7 hours. Nothing in Day 2. I shot a spike today at 10am and spent the rest of the day getting him out of some nasty country. I'm happy as hell as I was perfectly happy with a spike and some great meat. The guy who took the 5pt on day 1 took a nice 4*4 mulie an hour after I took my elk. Pics to follow. Computer access is minimal. Anyway we are off for deer and some steel head fishing before heading back to lovely (tongue in cheek) San Francisco.

Well after almost the entire day butchering meat we decided we are not going to try and fill my deer tag. It's just overkill and no need for it. Plus I still have about 6 hours of butchering to go and we head back tomorrow. ANyway, here are the other 2 animals taken.

All I can say is nice job. Plenty of meat for the freezer and good times. Good luck butchering him up. I'd rather be butchering meat than reading about someone else doing it.

I'm still holding out hope that his knife gets dull and he decides to take one last walk in the woods looking for that elusive 4x4...
