Oly C-750 Questions

What's the verdict CB.......like the camera?

I'm looking for something new and the 750 seems well liked.
I do like the pics. that lan-lord post with his 707, but who wouldn't....
I want to trade in my SLR for digital and really like the pics. I see from both cameras.

The C-750 is a great camera and I am very pleased with it so far. There is alot for me to learn and I really want to try more shots at full zoom, I might have to wait until spring though with all this snow!

I would like to see them add IS to this camera, and I really think the manual focus controls on the Panasonic DMC-FZ10K are better. I'm not sure you can beat it for the price and all the features that it has. I still can't get over how great the macro and super macro shots are for a camera with such a big lens. I have never seen such close up detail before. So far I have to give this camera a big

, one of these days I will be smart enough to understand what all the menu settings do, until then it does great on 90% of the shots in Auto mode!

hags, I really like my 707, but the biggest drawback (in my opinion) for photographing wildlife, will be optical zoom power. My cam only has 5x optical + 2x digital. (totaling 10x). I add a 1.7x telephoto to it to get me out to 17x, but that includes digital zoom (not prefered). The biggie for the olympus over my sony is that you have 10x optical AND you can add the same 1.7x telephoto to get a total of 17x optical zoom.

Dont get me wrong, I love my 707, and I feel that it really packs a punch in regards to image quality, but unfortunately it is only 5x optical. 50 yards is really the furthest that a whitetail can be in order to get anything decent.

Im onboard with CB to check out the Panasonic FZ10. If I were to get another digicam, this camera would probably be the main one that I would look at. Just going by the specs, it looks to be pretty good. There have been some threads here recently talking about it.
