For all you guys that are worried about One Track being all by his lonesome in elk country, fear no more. On my way home from Co I made a little detour (13 1/2 hrs) and stopped in Brents camp. When I arrived he had a steak on the grill and a baked potatoe in the oven for me. Oh yeah, there was also a cooler full of beer and a real live country singer at the campfire. No bull, A COUNTRY SINGER! Clint, he was bad ass. Brent, being a social (drunk) butterfly that he is, had a stream of hunters stopping by his camp (party)!! Good times.
As far as the elk huntin was going, he is seeing bulls every day and he is holding out for a dream bull, til the beginning of next week. The hunt is getting better. I hunted with him the next morning and he passed on going after a 280" 5x6. The wind was blowing hard. I left Tuesday afternoon. I'm sure he's gonna smack a good one. Here are a few pics from our morning hunt. Ed F
