Oooops, i did it again (FHL)

Been busy with my health, with my work, with my family and FHL was mostly closed in the last 5-6 month so opted for different, not so exiting areas to hunt. I have some reports about those hunts.
last week i checked their website and to my surprise i saw many areas are open. I was thinking that during long weekend of the 4th of July it is going to be a zoo over there, i decided to on weekday afternoon hunt after the long weekend.

Went to one of the areas i familiar with. Around 8 PM i ran in to a little group of pigs about 100-120 yards downhill slowly working their way alongside the valley.
As usual, chose the smallest one and took it home. By the time i went to the car to bring the game cart and back it was already dark.

Yes, i feel much better to the extend the surgery was postponed and now i'm under observation.
My doctor says he newer saw such a quick progress with this amount of damage i have. I hope and pray the trend keeps this way.

I try to live my regular life. Hunt 2-3 times a week, each time i walk 5-10 miles on cross terrain. It is real hard, but every time i can walk longer and longer.
Today i hunted rabbits. Will try same on Fri as well and Sat - deer archery A zone, and Sun fishing.
Too bad i hunt alone, but live is beautiful even if s..t happens LOL....
Trying to be optimistic. As classic say:" even on the darkest day sun shines on some dog's ass" I'm trying to be this dog
I even started practicing my bow again.

Just curious... why not bring the cart a partial distance out with you... park it... then fan-out from that spot to hunt... to reduce the time required to fetch it if (when!) successful?

Hm... why just not fan-out from the car?
why should i carry my cart AND a gun, AND a backpack if i even do not know IF i kill something? and if i kill something to carry the cart with the game, the gun and the backpack..... instead of caring the cart only.

What is average success rate for pigs take on public land? 1:10?1:20? so, this way it takes 10-20 times to carry my cart 1/2 of unknown way just in case that at the end of this way i'll get something? And if i do not get anything to loose the opportunity to take a short-cut to my car and go home. I usually make a big circle.
Another thing i do, when i leave my car, i mark it on the GPS, when i kill something, i make mark on the GPS. than, when i go to my car, the GPS takes me the shortest route instead of making detour to pick up the cart.

For me it works this way, for others might be different. I know guys who carry their carts all the time all the way. I'm lazy SOB Take the necessary min, make head shots only not to track animals, kill the smallest ones also.
Easy

But everything above is big BS.
To tell the truth, but please do not tell it to anyone, i'm superstitious, i believe if i take the cart with me, i'll not going to get anything.
