I am starting to plan a ARCHERY Elk and Deer hunt in Oregon next year. I was wondering if anyone has any spots that would be worth a try. Eastern Oregon is where I am looking at primarily. Any recommendations would be helpful.

dbuck,
Where were you putting in for? The Eastern areas can be tough unless you do alot of research. Big country, lots of hunters and you have to really get to know the countryside. If you do some research on on the hunt statistics you can narrow down some areas to focus on. The best areas for big bucks and bulls is the north east and it is pretty well known and popular. The Eagle Cap wilderness and the Blue Mts put out good animals, but it is tough and a guide is best for good success.
The western slope of the cascades has good numbers of blacktails and lots of roosevelts, as well as fair access to public lands. There are some good resources out there if you look.
