Yep...For whatever reason the cow tags are harder to draw than the bull tags.

Yeah, I've notice that. Well I just checked mine and nope I didn't get drawn for anterless deer. That was the only draw I put in for this year.

Wow your just as lucky as me...The GF and I both drew the keating cow tags two years in a row without points. Last year on seperate applications.

Hood Unit is pretty condense compair to its neighbor White River, but lots of deer. There was a pretty fresh burn in that unit last year. Find yourself a clearcut and glass around the edges. If not, get into the firs and set up a ground blind on well used trails.

Sumpter, never hunted there.

Willamette always have deer, even in the city. LOL. Mostly private lands. I believe the unit has only 1% public land. If you've got permission on lands, guarantee tag filled. But then there are pockets of public land and bunches of wildlife areas that you can hunt. If you can gain access to some tree farms, that'll be a very good ticket.
