we've been doing some secret op's too and this pig is a little smaller than the other ones we've spotted, but I think you'll get an idea of the boars the Oregon team is after.

I am installing the explosive broadheads on my arrows right now

hopefully you'll get a good enough idea of what their doing you can share with us.. You'll have so many hogs spotted, giving up a couple will only make the decision of where to hunt easier for you. We will need all the help we can get.

I can only imagine the tricks Skeets has up his sleeve. He and Chopper probably have some hogs pinned up waiting for the hunt to start. Have fun up there this weekend.

Man I'm Happy I'm not the only one that thinks LD needs a new avitar.
With a handle like lurediver I'd think maybe some kinda fishing rig or something.
A fast boat maybe or a G-loomis rod or some albies flying through the air chasing some sevenstrand trolling lures there's gotta be something.
anything..........please!

So Oregon whats it worth to you guys if I disclose the location of the double secret spot?
Make a good offer and you get the regular secret spot throwed in free!

LD how about something like a watermelon Apex?
That would be cool.
you could post a signature at the bottom sayong something like hey!
Bite my Apex.

Franklin, we've broke bread together..even had a beer or two. Now i know you wouldn't sell out the CA for a couple bucks $$, would ya?...some folks may have hunted the double secret spot, but Pigig is the only one to have found the secret spot....needed some help draggin', we ended up cutting her in half, i left the head in a tree....that's when you know you're there.
That pig is huge!! I'd like to kill it, but i'd damn near give up a beer or two just to see it dead.
<

The legend of LureDiver...he dives for lures in the Sac River during the salmon run...all those yahoo's loosing their $10 spoons, he picks'em up and sells 'em on e-bay. If you're ever out there and see bubbles coming up from the bottom, try to snag 'em...he doesn't care and will be more than happy to cut your line for ya.

AS,
Is that pic 10:10 PM or AM?
That boar is one Big MOFO!
It look like he has fallen and he can't get up!

Seems like it will be a good hunt.

BTW, I like Lurediver's avitar.

Franklin,
Did you get that bow on Archerytalk?
Also, I have had good luck w/ Mexicanflag 6 shooter on albies.
But,that's down sur.

Kirk! I never did tell you where I'm from did I ??????????????????????????

Portland,Tillamook,Medford, Coburg, Eugene,Sandy, Gresham,Molalla,Pacific City!

Gyopo: Yeah I got the bow but some ebay guy is sitting on my new site, I think he's waiting for it to hatch before he ships it. I got a Trophy Ridge site but didn't like the idea of a plastic site so I'm not gonna use it. I ordered an HHA with a red dot scope and I been waiting now 8 full days since the guy received my money. He won't respond to my nasty emails either.

Kirk I like the story about LD that makes sense I might have snagged him last year and thought he was a big ole ugly sturgeon and had to cut my own line!

Mexican flag is a classic for sure!
I'm putting my money on Pro Dolphin first set of the new season,
cmon temperature break!
22' Bayrunner Baja Cutty Cabin
135 Evinrude 2 sssssssssttrokke
down and outriggers
I can run seven trolling rigs and two meat lines.
And if they come to boil I've got a custom 10wt. fly rig to feed them a chartreuse somethingornother.

Damn I need to get out and kill something

I honestly don't care who nails that guy. As long as it is on film, and it is dead. I'll give up some points for Kirk to shoot it, or whoever else. This is going to be fun boys !!!!

By the way, just got a message from the Alaska Airlines, that our flight got pushed back an hour and a half. Should be up at the cabin by 9:30 or so.

I'm sure i'll have to sleep on the porch, all the good bedding areas will be taken.

I may just sleep with the pigs.

Franklin, I see that you listed Pacific City as one place you lived, I teach in that school district and have had a few beers at the Pelican.

As for that pig, I have a couple debts to settle with some very large toothed hogs around there. Last trip i saw one that looked like a baby rhinosoraus. Of course, it was in the headlights.

This trip is going to good. As hunters, we will only have half the hunting time as normal and half film time, could make it a little tougher to tag out.... Good luck

Since our plane is coming in later I think we can get a leg up on the competition with our seven mile walk and hunt to the cabin. We can hunt from headlamps right???

Thre and 1/2 days hunting is going to be hard hunting for sure, no wated minutes here

Here's an idea of some of the terrain we are used to hunting - getting to the cabin should be no problem

I have a mt. bike as well and will ride a little bit of single track in the hills outside Salem. The best way for me to stay in shape for hunting is running 4 to 5 miles 5 days a week.

At 6' 3" and 235 pounds I am not exactly made for marathons, but it sure helps when climbing those hills at 7500 feet!

This race was last fall in Astoria Oregon. We clumb a few hills at choppers as well this spring

You guys and your damn exercise. I call exercise Hunting and looking for sheds. Throw in about 200 scouting trips a year and a guy stays in pretty good shape.

I admire those guys (shay, will) who have the discipline to run daily. However, it is cutting into their scouting time..... I won't be able to keep up with those fellows...
