Guys,
I am looking for an OTC cow elk tag for this fall, Colorado, Idaho, or Wyoming, just wanting to get some good meat in the freezer, trophies not required. Any suggestions on a feasible hunt / zone?

I don't know the name of it but a buddy of mine used to go to an Indian res out in Utah and paid 300-500 for a cow tag no trespass fee

If you didn't know, Idaho has many OTC Elk tags. Most are any elk. Also the numbers are good right now there for Deer. Many zones have a discounted OTC deer tag discounted if you buy an elk tag or a 2nd tag for non-res is only 199. Did I mention that Idaho's non res elk tag is cheaper than a resident CA elk tag? Even if you just drive around an area you might want to hunt, most areas have a lumber yard or grocery store that sells tags and will give you sound advice. Good luck though.
