Owl

Driving across the desert today I spotted this Owl snoozing in this dead tree, this is one of the few with his eyes open, I got 40 plus photos of this Owl, don't know what species it is though, neat bird.

Nice shot 'roost! Its hard to tell the size of the bird from the pic but it looks like a Great Horned Owl to me. It looks a bit light in color but its definitely not a long eared owl.

Nice shot Quailsroost, it is an adult Great Horned Owl. And it is a neat bird, I'd love to get a shot of an owl.

Nice owl there Quail. They are pretty skittish in my area - hard to get em to hang out long enough to get a pic.
