Palm desert hunting

I might be in Palm Desert area during Christmas....was wondering about any hunting or fishing guided opportunities in the area....don't mind driving

Is there none? I would be willing to drive....from SD three hour drive is nothing

Palm Desert is a city surrounded by other cities no hunting there. You have to get out of that valley to go hunting. I heard theres a small lake you can fish around there but its one of those that you have to pay by the pound type deals and noth worth it

What are you looking to hunt? Big game, upland bird? There has to be some quail, dove, duck hunting in the vicinity. Isn't there some open areas to the south of the Coachella Valley? Salton Sea etc. Sorry I'm not much help but have never traveled there for hunting. There are a lot of guys on this forum from that region and south, I'm sure someone has some helpful input. BTW, welcome to the forum BOBBYJ!

I have never tried it but on the west side of salton sea there is great duck hunting I hear. I believe it is where you rent a blind type thine. Some years there are a bunch of quail out that way. Good luck!
