I use the XS Ghost ring on my .444 Marlin and like it very much. (I think they were AO Ashely Outdoors when I bought them but they are XS now I guess). The front sight has a white vertical line that is very easy to pick up.
Hornady has come out with that Leverevolution cartridge that is pointed and supposedly extends the range by improving trajectory for lever action firearms. Looks real nice for the .30-.30 crowd (160 grain). Not sure if my Marlin .444 is Microgroove or not. The new Leveraction rounds apparently don't like Microgrove in the .444 much so acuracy supposedly suffers. I may try 'em out though and see how they do.
