Nice clear pics CB. I am not much of a fisherman more the dry land type but do enjoy perch pulling a few time a year. I have heard tying flys is an art form. Is it pretty hard to learn?
I took a couple classes through the local TU chapter, they were cheap, and the instructors are good. It's not too bad, but can be frustrating at times, especially once you get down to sizes 18-22. I won't even try to tie smaller than that! These are trout flies, but it's a blast to catch panfish, bass and other fish on flies too. Many times you can even out fish people using live bait. It does cost a bit to get started, supplies and stuff, but there is something neat about catching fish on flies you tied yourself.
I read a small tutorial on the internet about photographing them, so I thought I would give it a try. I'm sure they would look better if I had proper indoor lighting equipment.
