Hey everyone,
We went up to Tejon on Saturday looking for piggies and checking out jaehunts green cabin, and I think we may have found it!! Scouted alot of area, no luck, no piggies. We got up there late and left early, so what can you expect? We had a really nice day and the weather was perfect. Great pics of the flowers also, but I have no Idea how to post them in the gallery. Trust me spec I have looked all over it trying to learn how!! Anyways ladies and Gents, enjoy.

We were on our way up to Jaehunts cabin, or anyways we ended up there and on our way Superduty stopped suddenly and turned off the truck. He said I could swear I heard a Turkey. Then he let out this crazzy gobble gobble and the dang Turkey gobbled back at him. He was right under our nose, just behind Jaehunts cabin. Dave jumped out of the truck and stalked the tom and got us some pics. I have more but I think that this is the best one.

We were down in Squirl Canyon and we took a long hike up a hill. Superduty and our 8 year old pushed this Quail out of a sticker bush. He was beautiful. I only wish this pic would do him justice. Again, Superduty crept up on him and got us this pic.....Good times!!!

Superdutys,

That's the cabin in the first picture, you found it. We have seen that group of Turkeys up there for about a year, they seem to be in the area during the spring. I wish I could say that the cabin is "mine" but my family is just one of a few lucky groups who happen to be on that lease area. We get to use the cabin whenever we want during the explorer season but there are other year round members who have more of a "claim" to it than us.

I wasn't able to get up there this weekend, but my mom and dad did. They said they talked to a group in a ford Superduty, was it you? They were in a grey lifted Cherokee.

Well, see any pigs? My folks said the group they talked to had seen about 10 piglets, but no hogs... I plan on going up this weekend. I will drop you a line and let you know for sure.

We hunted Tejon Saturday on a guided hunt. Of the 4 guys in our group, 3 connected on pigs. The two 1st time hunters shot a 220lbs. boar and a +280lbs. boar. I shot a nice 120lbs. meat pig (boar). Didn't see a whole lot of pigs, but had a great time. Saw quite a few turkeys, deer, elk, quail, and 1 coyote.

Great trip. I will try to post a few photos later.

We covered quit abit of country wich was all new to us. The only vehicle we saw was a man with his three children down by the Quail lake cement plant entry gate. They were doing some squirl hunting. We saw lots of wildlife and got some great pictures. We ended up coming out at the end of the day at the 5fwy just North of the Tejon office. The driving gets really challenging when your driving a white tank like mine on those jeep trails. Traveled on roads that haven't had any traffic in a long time. Just to let you all know the

's are there just not as active right now due to the abundance of feed and water in every canyon. Next month should be steller.

Best of luck to all of you.
