Im with Bandit... whats your setup... I like to take alot of Photos in the woods and I like auto settings its quick and easy... I have enough else to worry about. My Oly 750 Much of the time Gets a Lock on the closest brush...

In you case those distant Turkeys you had branches in the way... My Oly surely would have locked on that and resulted in a blurred shot...

Camera was my new Canon Digital Rebel with a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 lens. I bought the lens mostly for some stop-action sports photos in low-light conditions. I got some pretty good photos of my daughter's state optionals gymnastics meet last weekend at Chattanooga. These are the first photos I've taken of turkies with it. I had the camera set in its center focus mode and it focuses pretty much on what the small red dot hits. I'm hoping to get some good turkey pictures in the next week or so - trying to get them into the TWRA wildlife calendar.
