spanish goats...the two small ones with my face in the side of the picture were shot with a .22 with stingers, bullets made perfect mushrooms and one stopped at the skin on the other side, the other exited. The 4 goats in the fog were shot with a 20ga and 12ga, using slugs and buckshot

Aloha Ev, what part of Kaua'i did you get the goats? Are the pictures taken where they were shot or down the mountain some? It looks pretty flat for goats. I always assumed Stringers would break up into fragments on game the size of goats, very intersting that you got decent penetration. Was this out of a handgun or rifle, and what range?
I have plenty family in Lihue, and Kapa'a from my wife's side, her cousin hunts, I better give him a call before Blacktail season.

PS Goat curry, and goat chili both very ono.

stingers were out of a .22 pump rifle. the slugs didn't fragment at all...I would say the one we recovered was about 90% of the original mass or so. The place where I got the pig and the goats where Im wearing the blue hat is on the Na Pali Coast....the others were on top of a mountain in Kapaa area. It's a secret spot and only a few people know the trails to get up there, its steep on the sides and almost flat on top. the goats hang out around the edge and on the perimeter on top where it's flat. thats where the goats were shot.
