TNH - The Sunset came out great. Underexposure usually helps with deeper color. With the people pics I would go with the flash set in "auto" mode to help light from the front and still keep that awesome sunset. Thanks for sharing. WB
Excellent photos! I liked the one with the kids backs facing the camera. Beautiful photos and I think WB is right about using the flash. It might have helped expose the kids while still keeping the sunset in proper exposure. A common mistake is to switch to spot metering and meter the model. This will usually properly expose the model but due to the longer shutter speed, the bright sunset is overexposed.
You did a fine job the kids will cherrish those photos later on.
The camera is a Nikon Coolpix 4300 - 4.0 megapixel. The pictures were taken in either Auto mode or in Scene Mode with the scene being set to Sunset or Beach or Backlight. Not sure which pictures are which mode but I took several pictures.
