First I would like to thank my mentor! He has Ben a great hunting guide! I have never met him out on the field, but his tips have been worth it! I went out to the same place that I have hunted and seen lots of signs! I had missed on the boars before so this this time I said he'll no! Walked in and started hiking, saw lots of droppings! Yes they are here! Long story shirt story! Saw them and decided to take them down with my 30-06 boom shit and down he went! Right on his shoulder! Thanks to my mentor and yes he owns half of my kill! I would also like to let people know that I don't hunt private land! Dot have the money but I also don't need a scope, bipod nor any gun stands to shoot! Been hunting and shooting open sights since I was 9 years old! Yes there is pigs out there and I am 26 years old so I don't need nor never want to use scopes! This is the way to do it! Open sights over 150 yards! Thank you my mentor!

Congrats on the pig.

I wouldn't start bashing the scope if I were you. 150 yards with iron sight is consider a lucky shot in my book. One day you will regret the scope and wish you had one.

Iron sights are not for me!!! I've hunted deer and hiked hours for them! I grew up hunting without iron sights! Specially if you are Mexican and are descendant from military!

We didn't use scopes to qualify with m-16's in the military and shots were beyond 150 on body size targets. I just can't imagine someone that takes pictures of every quail not taking one of their first public land pig.

If you could take a picture during the butcher (after) ....why no picture of just before? That's some awful lean pig meat for this time of year..where's the tallow and fat layer? Qualification on open sight M16 was out to 300 yard when I was plinking with one.

+1, if I were set on open sites I would choose a solid lever action.

PPl want to see your happy smile

That's what I'm sayin, you can see the enthusiasm in his smile, it's infectious. Makes you wonder why you aren't out there chasing birds or trying to learn to pig hunt. Like KTK70 said "next time". BIG congrats and nice work with the open sights Chayito 702, you earned it!
